Check your gaming
Check your gaming
Gaming is great, but as with any activity - too much can be harmful to your health, wellbeing, finances and relationships.
If you answer yes to any of the following, it may be a sign that gaming has become unhealthy for you.
- Are you gaming late at night?
- Do you feel intense urges to play video games to block out all other thoughts?
- Are you finding it difficult to sleep because your mind is still buzzing from gaming?
- Have you cut back on social or recreational activities because you would rather play video games?
- Are you spending more money on in-game purchases than you should?
- Are you not getting your schoolwork and assignments done, but still spending lots of time gaming?
- Do you get angry or upset about losing, and sometimes shout or throw things while playing?
- Are you lying to others about the amount of time you spend playing video games?
- Do you get really annoyed when anyone interrupts you when you are gaming, or asks you to stop?
